Sonia Baghdady is an Emmy-award winning television news anchor and reporter, who first noticed her passion for style as a contributor on the syndicated lifestyle program, Life and Style. While a news anchor, she became host of the local ABC lifestyle program, Connecticut Style. Today, she still delivers the news each evening on Connecticut’s ABC station, and was recently named a style blogger for the Guess style site, www.GuessAccess.com. In 2010, Sonia launched Style Confessions, a website offering women throughout the nation, money-saving secrets on fashion, fitness, home decor, beauty and much more, from stylish bargainistas. Sonia’s work has been featured in Modern Bride, on the truTV network and National Geographic.

Sonia has been nominated for 5 Emmy awards, and earned an Emmy for her consumer series, Is It Worth Your Money?, where she tested out popular products to save viewers money. Sonia has also been awarded by the Associated Press, voted best local TV reporter by the readers of Connecticut Magazine and named the top local TV personality by the New Haven Advocate.
She was honored by the Fair Media Council with a Folio Award, was listed as one of “20 Noteworthy Women” by the New Haven Business Times, and profiled by New Haven Magazine. Throughout her television news career, Sonia has reported for affiliate stations on the ABC and NBC networks, and for the Cablevision cable television company.
Sonia was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to California at the age of 10, before landing in Connecticut, where she now finds the shoreline home with her husband.
